The Subterra 30L Backpack is a bigger version of the 23L Backpack, and it has some similar features to it. These features include a vast amount of storage space, and certain areas that are dedicated to certain devices.
The backpack was made with electronic device protection in mind. It approaches the area of electronic protection very professionally with organization being a priority. It contains a power pocket to help manage all the cords, and allows the user to have neatly organized electronic components that can easily have their cords either plugged into an external power source, or a power-bank if the owner so wished to.
The inside of this backpack, through the top loading compartment, includes a space dedicated to storing a laptop that can either be a 15 inch Macbook Pro, or a 15.6 inch PC. It has a padded laptop sleeve with SafeEdge construction for better protection of your laptop. The flap extruding above the space can be folded down to completely cover the edge of the laptop. The exceptional amount of space within allows you to store other things in front of the laptop as well.
On the other side you will see a semi-transparent zip-lock that may contain smaller items such as: phones, chocolate bars, watches, laptop mouse, etc.
Looking closer to the shoulder straps you’ll find a zipper on the side of the backpack. The zipper is another way of accessing your laptop through the side of the bag. It’s easy access to allow you to quickly acquire your device and any other component you may have stored inside in a more convenient way.
Moving to the front of the backpack, the inside of this compartment is dedicated to: tablets, phones, pens, and it can also store other items including paperwork and documents. The dedicated space for the tablets incorporates the use of soft interior lining to avoid unwanted scratches.
Special attachments form part of the Power Pocket to guide the cords of your devices to different regions of the backpack. These attachments can be found almost anywhere on the inside of the backpack.
On the front you’ll find another compartment that allows you to store even more.
Like most backpacks, there is a place to keep your water bottle, however not many backpacks can claim to have a separate pocket for it. The pocket has a zipper that can be drawn over any smaller objects to keep it in a cool condition away from the sun.
Two of the features that allow for a more comfortable wear include EVA shoulder straps with mesh covering and padded back panel, and removable sternum strap. But for those that prefer a different approach to comfort, the backpack also includes a pass-through panel that can be found behind the shoulder straps. The panel allows the user to mount the backpack to any rolling luggage handle.
As far as durability goes, this bag is made 800D Nylon that is known to be an incredibly durable material that also tends to keep all your equipment, electronics, and documents safe from rain as it is waterproof.
The total weight of the backpack is: 2.56 pounds, which makes for a very lite carry at ease for your back.
The backpack comes in three colors, or themes that include: Dark Shadow, Mineral, and, Emerald. All of these themes make for a very professional look to your backpack.
